A new highlight on the local mountain of Sterzing / Vipiteno!
Open from the end of June to the beginning of October 2024! The summer toboggan run on Rosskopf / Monte Cavallo will cheer your whole family up! Starting from the mountain station of the panoramalift at 2,120 meters above sea level, a
mountain coaster is being installed on the Rosskopf. The course leads over a length of 1,300 m over a height difference of nearly 300 meters to the valley station of the panoramalift. Sounds like heaps of fun? It definitely will be, because with a gradient of 20% on average and a maximum of 56%, speeds of up to 40 km/h can be reached. That means spectacular fun for the young and old, amidst the breath-taking mountain panorama.
Florian Leitner, technical project manager of the manufacturing company Sunkid, emphasizes the careful realization of the project: "For us, sustainability is a big issue and here we have found the ideal partner in our customer, who also stands for these values. Due to our construction method rough interferences into nature can be omitted. For example, the rails are anchored to the ground with earth nails, which can also be easily removed again. Also, the lightweight construction of our toboggans allows for optimal use of the existing "lifts".
